What is a 'sub-account'?
 
Main account
When you first open up your PowerAutoResponder account you are actually opening up a 'Main' account.
 
On the sign up form you are asked to choose what 'autoresponder name' you want. The name you choose is also part of your autoresponder email address. Make sure you choose a name that relates to what you are offering or use your business name.
 
Let's say you have a Hardware store and your business name is "Joe's Hardware".  
You could choose the word hardware as your 'Main account' autoresponder name.
Your new autoresponder email address would then be...
hardware@powerautoresponder.com
 
 
Sub-accounts (optional)
The reason why you may want to use sub-accounts is because your business may sell a lot of different Products or Services.
 
For example: A Hardware store sells all sorts of different products so you may want to have responder messages going out to a particular group of people.
 
What kind of business people go into a Hardware store?
Here's just a few... Builders, Plumbers, Tilers, etc, etc.
 
You may want to open up a sub-account and send messages (a new campaign) that are targeted towards Builders.
 
At this point we want to remind you that your 'Main account' autoresponder name is "hardware" and your autoresponder email address is...
hardware@powerautoresponder.com
 
If you opened up a sub-account and called that sub-account builders then the autoresponder email address for that sub-account would be...
hardware_builders@powerautoresponder.com
 
Do you see how your Main account name hardware is at the start of this email address and your sub-account name builders is next. There is an underscore ( _ ) that separates the two words.
 
 Main account name > hardware_builders < sub-account name
 
If you opened up another sub-account and called it plumbers then that sub-account autoresponder email address would be...
